Seamless gutters, built on site for your house
Nearly every gutter installation we do uses 5-inch or 6-inch seamless aluminum. Sectional gutters come in ten-foot pieces that get joined together, and every one of those joints eventually leaks. We run aluminum coil through a fabrication machine on our truck in your driveway and cut one continuous piece for each side of the roof. The only seams are the corners and the end caps, and we seal both.
A 6-inch gutter carries noticeably more water than a 5-inch. On a steep roof, a long run, or a house under heavy tree cover, that is the difference between draining and overflowing in a hard Charlotte summer storm. We'll tell you which size your house needs when we measure. Downspouts come in 2x3 and 3x4, and the 3x4 clogs less, which counts for something under Charlotte's tree canopy.
Undersizing is the most common problem we find on Charlotte houses. Plenty of them went up with 5-inch gutters and two downspouts when the roof called for 6-inch and four. In a hard rain the water overshoots the front lip, runs down the fascia and rots the board, and the run eventually pulls off the house. Fixing the size during a replacement costs less than rebuilding fascia twice.
We install K-style, half-round, and box profiles, in colors matched to common fascia and trim.
What gutter installation costs in Charlotte
On a typical 2,000 to 3,000 square foot Charlotte home, a full seamless gutter replacement runs $3,300 to $4,700 installed, or $4,800 to $8,450 with gutter guards. Smaller homes start around $1,650. The full table by house size is below, and every number in it comes from our own price sheet, not a national average.
What moves the number:
- How high and how steep the roof is. Two-story and cut-up rooflines take longer and need more setup.
- How many downspouts the layout needs. More corners and more roof area means more downspouts.
- Whether we are tearing off old gutters and hauling them away.
- Gutter size. Six-inch costs more than five-inch.
- Add-ons like gutter guards or underground drainage.
- Fascia condition. Rotted wood gets replaced before anything new goes up.

Gutter replacement in Charlotte
A good share of our work is replacement rather than a first-time install. The house already has gutters, they have quit doing their job, and getting them off is half the project. Replacement takes about as long as a new installation on the same house, plus time for tear-off and haul-away. The warranty is the same either way.
Signs it's time to replace your gutters
- The gutter sags or has pulled away from the fascia board.
- You see cracks, splits, or rust in more than a couple of spots.
- Water runs down behind the gutter instead of into it when it rains.
- The fascia board behind the gutter is soft or rotting.
- You keep finding spikes and nails in the yard.
- The seams leak at nearly every joint.
- The gutters are more than 20 years old.
One of these is usually a repair. Several at once means the system is worn out, and patching it buys you a season before the same call comes back.
Replace or repair?
We'll tell you which one you actually need. A section that came loose in a storm, a leaking corner, a run with the pitch off: those are repairs, and we price them as gutter repair. Some companies quote a full replacement on every call. We would rather fix the one bad corner and hear from you again in ten years.
When we do recommend a full gutter replacement, we'll show you what we're looking at on your house and walk you through why.
Top-Quality Materials, Not Builder-Grade
Excellent workmanship matters more than materials, but a company's material choices reveal its philosophy on quality. At Badger Gutters, we use top-quality materials to build gutter systems that last.
.032 heavy-gauge aluminum
About 20% thicker than the common .027 gutters on most homes, so it's stronger, shows less rippling and oil canning, and is far less likely to pull away from the house.
Custom-bent, seamless downspouts
A typical downspout is pieced together from factory elbows. Ours are custom-bent on site to fit your house, reducing the connection points from four to one. Stronger, cleaner-looking, and less likely to leak.
Strip miters, not box miters
We use one-piece strip miters instead of two-piece box miters. That cuts sealant lines from three to one and makes a stronger, cleaner corner.
Stainless steel zip screws
A major upgrade on downspouts and miters. Typical steel screws look good the day they go in and often rust within a few years. Stainless stays clean and holds tight.
Heavy-duty hidden hangers
The most important part of keeping gutters attached. Built to handle heavy water, ice, and snow without flexing or pulling away from the house.
What every installation includes
- Seamless gutters fabricated on site from .032 aluminum coil to your measurements
- Heavy-duty hidden hangers screwed into the fascia, not spike and ferrule
- One-piece strip miters and stainless steel zip screws at every corner
- Custom-bent downspouts with one connection point instead of four
- Commercial-grade sealant at every corner and end cap
- Proper pitch toward each downspout so nothing stands in the trough
- Full site cleanup, backed by our $50 cleanup guarantee if we leave a mess
The old way was a long spike driven through the gutter into the rafter. Those work loose, which is why you find them in the yard years later. Screwed hidden hangers hold through storms.

Gutter guards
Charlotte is full of oaks and pines. If your house sits under a canopy, price guards at the same time as the installation. Doing both at once costs less than bringing a crew back later, and guards are cheapest when the ladders are already up. There is more on our gutter guards page.
