Gutter Installation in Ballantyne, NC
If your gutters sag, leak at the corners or spill over in a hard summer storm, new seamless gutters can carry that water off your roof and away from the house. At Badger Gutters, we do gutter installation in Ballantyne, NC, with seamless aluminum formed on site to fit your roofline.
We're family owned, not a franchise. I'm Ben Krupp, I own the company, and I'm on job sites myself. Estimates are free and in writing, and you'll hear back the same day.

A lot of our reviews mention me by name. Two recent ones:
"Ben was great from the very beginning. He brought a box of gutter samples so we could actually see the different colors, styles, and quality before making our decision."
"The crew showed up and I was amazed at how quickly the old gutters were down, the new seamless gutters were made and installed. The attention to detail and clean up was impressive."
The rest are on our reviews page, and photos from recent jobs are on our projects page.
Seamless gutter installation and replacement in Ballantyne
Most Ballantyne homes went up in the 1990s and 2000s. Gutters usually last about 20 years, so a lot of the original ones in 28277 are at the point where patching stops paying off and gutter replacement makes more sense.
We form seamless gutters on site from .032 aluminum coil, one continuous piece for each side of the roof, with no joints along it to leak. That .032 is about 20% thicker than the .027 gutters on most homes, so it is far less likely to pull away from the house.
Every seamless gutter installation we do includes:
- Heavy-duty hidden hangers screwed into the fascia, not spikes
- One-piece strip miters and stainless steel zip screws at the corners
- Proper pitch toward each downspout, so no water sits in the trough
- K-style, half-round or box profiles, in colors matched to common fascia and trim
We also replace rotted fascia before anything new goes up. Hanging new gutters on soft wood is the shortcut we find most often behind somebody else's work, and it costs the homeowner twice.
Signs your Ballantyne gutters need replacing
- The gutter sags or has pulled away from the fascia board
- The seams leak at nearly every joint
- Water runs down behind the gutter instead of into it when it rains
- The fascia behind the gutter is soft or rotting
- You keep finding spikes and nails in the yard
- The gutters are more than 20 years old
One of these is usually a repair. Several at once means the system is worn out, and patching it buys you a season before the same call comes back.
5-inch or 6-inch gutters for a Ballantyne home?
Charlotte's short, heavy rainstorms can send a lot of water off your roof in just a few minutes. A 6-inch gutter handles more water than a 5-inch, which makes it the better option for those downpours, especially on steep roofs and long gutter runs. For most homes in the Charlotte area, we recommend 6-inch gutters. We rarely install 5-inch anymore: 6-inch runs about 10% more, and in almost every case it's worth it.
Downspouts come in 2x3 and 3x4. The 3x4 clogs less, which helps under oaks and pines.
What gutter installation costs in Ballantyne
On a typical 2,000 to 3,000 square foot home, a full seamless gutter replacement runs $3,300 to $4,700 installed, or $4,800 to $8,450 with gutter guards. The full table by house size, up to 5,000 square feet, is on our gutter installation page, and every number in it comes from our own price sheet.
What moves the price on your house:
- Linear feet of gutter and how many downspouts the roof needs
- One story or two, and how steep the roof is
- 5-inch versus 6-inch
- Gutter guards or no guards
- How much fascia has to be replaced
We measure at the house and hand you a written, itemized price. That number holds unless the scope changes. Financing is available at 0% interest for 24 months through Wisetack, with a $500 deposit. To get your number, book a free estimate.
Gutter guards for Ballantyne homes under oaks and pines
If you have trees over the roof, price gutter guards with the new gutters. The ladders are already up, so it is the cheapest time to add them. On a 2,000 to 3,000 square foot home, guards add roughly $1,500 to $3,750.
Pick the guard for what drops on your roof. Almost any guard sheds oak leaves. Pine needles slide through a coarse screen, so under mature pines, micro-mesh is the only guard I'll put on your house.
We carry four types: micro-mesh, aluminum mesh, perforated aluminum and solid cover. A house in Ballantyne with two oaks in the yard and a house under tall pines don't need the same guard. Our main systems, ONE and Lock n Mesh, carry a lifetime material warranty from the manufacturer.
Guards cut maintenance way down, but they don't end it. Spring pollen settles on any guard, and a rinse with a hose once a year clears it. Our gutter guards page walks through the four types.
Gutter repair in Ballantyne
Not every call needs new gutters. A weeping seam, a loose hanger, a crushed downspout or one section a storm tore loose is a repair, and most of the gutter repair we do runs $250 to $700. Rotted fascia behind the gutter can push a job past that, because then you're paying for carpentry too.
We check the fascia on every repair and tell you what we find. If a repair gets close to what replacement would cost, both prices go on the estimate and you pick. There's more on our gutter repair page.
