Why east Charlotte homes are hard on gutters
Two things about this side of town.
First, the canopy. Hickory Grove, Oak Forest, and Mint Hill sit under mature oaks and pines that the newer south Charlotte subdivisions haven't grown yet. Oak leaves clog a gutter, and pine needles are worse: they slip straight through a cheap plastic screen and pack the downspout solid, so the gutter is full and the water has nowhere to go.
Second, the housing stock. A lot of homes out here went up between the 1960s and the 1980s with 5-inch gutters and 2x3 downspouts, sized for the roofs and the rainfall people planned around then. Those are the houses we get called to on this side of town.
So the same pattern keeps turning up on east-side estimates: undersized gutters, rotted fascia hiding behind them, and often a damp crawlspace nobody had connected to the two. Fixing it usually means moving up to 6-inch with 3x4 downspouts and replacing the bad wood before anything new gets hung.
Gutter installation and replacement
Gutter installation in east Charlotte is the bulk of what we do, and out here most of it is gutter replacement rather than a first install. We run seamless .032 aluminum to length on site, so there are no joints to leak, hung on heavy-duty hidden hangers in the color you pick.
Sizing is the question worth getting right:

Gutter guards
Worth it out here, if you buy the right ones. Micro-mesh stainless holds back oak leaves and pine needles both. The plastic screens sold at the big box stores warp in our summer heat and let the needles through anyway. Our gutter guards page walks through the options.
Gutter repair and fascia work
Smaller fixes too: sagging runs, bad pitch, leaking corners, a downspout dumping right next to the foundation. Those are on our gutter repair page.
We also replace and wrap rotted fascia. Never let anyone hang new gutters on rotten wood. It's the most common shortcut we find behind somebody else's work, and it costs the homeowner twice.
What it costs and how we quote it
I won't quote your house without seeing it. On a typical 2,000 to 3,000 square foot home, a full seamless replacement runs $3,300 to $4,700, or $4,800 to $8,450 with gutter guards, and the full table by house size is on our gutter installation page. What that table can't tell you is what your house costs, because five things move the price:
