Gutter Installation in Weddington, NC
If your gutters sag, leak at the seams or spill over in a hard rain, new seamless gutters can move that water off your roof and away from the house. Badger Gutters does gutter installation and replacement in Weddington, NC, and in nearby Marvin and Wesley Chapel. We're local and family owned, not a franchise.

Seamless gutter installation and replacement in Weddington
Most of our work is replacing gutters on homes that are about 20 years old or older. Gutters tend to last about that long, and less when they're the builder-grade gutters that came with the house. The sealant cracks and starts to leak, and the runs loosen and pull away from the fascia. Repairs can buy time, but once a system gets near 20 years, more repairs usually cost more than new gutters.
Every seamless gutter installation we do is built at your house. We run aluminum coil through a machine on our truck in your driveway and cut one continuous piece for each side of the roof. Sectional gutters come in ten-foot pieces, and every joint between them eventually leaks. On ours the only seams are at the corners and end caps, and we seal both.
Signs it's time to replace your gutters
- The gutter sags or has pulled away from the fascia board.
- Water runs down behind the gutter instead of into it when it rains.
- The fascia behind the gutter is soft or rotting.
- The seams leak at nearly every joint.
- You keep finding spikes and nails in the yard.
- The gutters are more than 20 years old.
One item on that list is usually a repair. When you're seeing several at once, the system is worn out, and patching it only buys you a season.
5-inch or 6-inch gutters
Charlotte's short, heavy rainstorms can send a lot of water off your roof in just a few minutes. A 6-inch gutter handles more water than a 5-inch, which makes it the better option for those downpours, especially on steep roofs and long gutter runs. For most homes in the Charlotte area, we recommend 6-inch gutters. We rarely install 5-inch anymore: 6-inch runs about 10% more, and in almost every case it's worth it.
We often see drainage problems caused by undersized 5-inch gutters. The water overshoots the front lip, runs down the fascia and rots the board, and in time the run pulls off the house. Downspouts come in 2x3 and 3x4, and the larger 3x4 clogs less under trees. We confirm the size when we measure.
What we install: profiles, materials and colors
We install K-style, half-round and box profiles, in colors matched to common fascia and trim. K-style is the most common around Charlotte, and from the street it looks like crown molding. Every installation includes:
- Heavy-gauge .032 aluminum, about 20% thicker than the common .027 gutter, so it ripples less and is far less likely to pull away from the house.
- Heavy-duty hidden hangers screwed into the fascia, instead of the old spike and ferrule that works loose over the years.
- One-piece strip miters at the corners, which cut the sealant lines at each corner from three to one.
- Stainless steel zip screws, because ordinary steel screws often rust within a few years.
- Proper pitch toward each downspout, so water doesn't sit in the trough.
Why Weddington homeowners call Badger Gutters
We're a small, family-owned company out of Charlotte. When you call, you talk to us, and I'm on job sites myself. The crews who hang your gutters are our own full-time, background-checked W-2 employees; we never use subcontractors.
We're a licensed North Carolina general contractor, license #109181, with general liability and workers' comp coverage on every job. We're BBB accredited, and we have 5.0 stars on Google.
Every install comes with our 10-year workmanship warranty, and it's the same 10 years on everything we install. If our workmanship is ever the problem, we fix it at no cost to you. Your new gutters also carry a limited lifetime material warranty from the manufacturer.
Most people read our reviews before they call. Two homeowners put it this way:
"He brought a box of gutter samples so we could actually see the different colors, styles, and quality before making our decision. He also drew out and explained where he planned to put the downspouts and walked us around the house so we understood exactly what he was doing." Slater B., Google review
"Ben was knowledgable with his assessment of the problem & presented multiple options for solutions with a recommendation from him, but wasn't pushy about it." Alex and Lisa, Google review
There are more on our reviews page, and you can read more about Ben and the crew.
What gutter installation costs in Weddington
Every number here comes from our own price sheet. On a 2,000 to 3,000 square foot home, a full seamless gutter replacement runs $3,300 to $4,700 installed, or $4,800 to $8,450 with gutter guards. On a 3,000 to 4,000 square foot home it runs $5,000 to $7,400, or $7,000 to $14,050 with guards. The full table by house size is on our gutter installation page.
What moves the number on your house:
- How high and steep the roof is. Two-story and cut-up rooflines take longer and need more setup.
- How many downspouts the layout needs.
- Whether we're tearing off old gutters and hauling them away.
- Gutter size. Six-inch runs about 10% more than five-inch.
- Add-ons like gutter guards or underground drainage.
- The fascia. Rotted wood gets replaced before anything new goes up.
These are ranges, not a quote. We measure the house and hand you a written price before we start, and that number holds unless the scope changes. Financing is available at 0% interest for 24 months.
Gutter guards for Weddington's trees
Most of Weddington is single-family homes on lots of an acre or more, and a lot of the town sits under mature pines. Pine needles are the hard case for gutter guards. They're thin, they drop all year instead of in one fall window, and they slide through any screen with wide openings. Under pines, micro-mesh is the only type I'll put on your home.
We carry four guard types (micro-mesh, aluminum mesh, perforated aluminum and solid cover), so the guard can match what's dropping on your roof. Our main systems are ONE and Lock n Mesh, and both carry a lifetime material warranty from the manufacturer.
Guards cost the least when they go on during a gutter replacement, with the same crew on the same visit. They cut down how often anyone has to get up on a ladder, but they don't end upkeep. Spring oak pollen turns to paste in the rain and settles on top of any guard, so plan on rinsing the surface once a year.
Gutter repair in Weddington
Not every call needs new gutters. If your system is under about 15 years old and the trouble is one leaking corner, a loose section or a few bad hangers, gutter repair is the better spend. Most repairs we do run $250 to $700. Rotted fascia behind the gutter can push a job past that, since at that point it's carpentry too. When a repair gets close to what replacement would cost, we put both prices on the estimate and you pick.

Your choices
You pick the size, profile and color, and we go over how many downspouts the house needs and where they'll go.

Walkthrough
We check the work with you, clean up the site and go over your warranty. If we leave a mess, our $50 cleanup guarantee covers it.
You don't need to be home on install day. Everything we work on is outside the house, so as long as the gates are unlocked we can finish the job.
